Get ready for an unforgettable experience like no other! Join us at the Weekend With Hooks 2023, happening on September 29th and 30th in Maryborough, Victoria. Celebrate the legendary Roger Ward and his iconic roles as Hooks in the motorcycle movie Stone and Fif in the cult classic Mad Max. We'll kick off the weekend by honoring the memories of Vince Gil and Paul Johnstone with a memorial ride and drive, followed by a day of non-stop entertainment. With 14 live bands playing throughout the event, a fully licensed bar, and delicious food, this is the ultimate celebration for any motorcycle enthusiast. You'll also get to see an incredible display of motorcycles and show cars, and we encourage you to dress up as your favorite character from the films. Make sure to grab an event patch to remember this incredible experience. Not only is this a fun-filled event, but it's also a charitable one. We've partnered with the Horizon Foundation to raise funds for flood-affected areas such as Rochester Victoria. But that's not all! We're also celebrating Kawasaki Z motorcycles, so bring yours along and join in on the fun. After a long day of excitement, pitch your tent and enjoy complementary camping for an even more immersive experience. South of Heaven Ltd and our partners, MFP Owners Club, The Dunolly Vehicle Club, and Kawaski Z Owners NSW, are proud to host the Weekend With Hooks 2023. As always, we encourage cosplay celebrating movies like Stone, Mad Max, and other iconic Australian films. The Rock God himself, Les Toth, will be MCing the event, and gates open at 12 pm on Friday with entertainment until late. Saturday morning, we'll assemble on the trotting track, led by classic Z Owners motorcycles, then following Mad Max vehicles and fans, as we journey into Clunes for the Fan Memorial Ride & Drive Farewell for Vincent Gil, AKA Doctor Death/The Night Rider, as well as pay tribute to Toad/The Toecutter. Don't miss out on the Tug-a-War (MFP v Toecutter’s Gang), a car show, a motorcycle show'n'shine, and much more. Early bird tickets are available now, and food and drinks, including alcohol, will be available all weekend. Join us for a massive line-up of live entertainment, including tribute bands like No Exit (The Angles tribute band) and Whole Lotta Rosie (AC/DC tribute band), as well as other great acts like The Giants, Done Deal, Sammy Owen Blues Band, Black Aces, Last Stand, The Groove Dudes, Salty Dogs, Nat Allison, Mikayla Burke, and Matt Schlam.
